My pottery is handmade of Stoneware clay, high fired and durable. Individually thrown on a potters wheel, its form grows from a ball of clay that is opened up and given shape by hands applying pressure and direction with and against the centrifugal force of its spinning. I enjoy the exploration and discovery...
These pots are then fired in an electric kiln to over 2000°F. I most often use underglazes for 'colour', covered by clear gloss & matte glazes. All are food safe. I aim for pieces with a mix of contemporary & traditional design.
These pots can be used in an oven, microwave and dishwasher. With ALL pottery, care must be taken not to shock the clay - so gradual temperature changes are best.
With minimal care you will have many years of easy use and enjoyment!
