Imagine & Create - Psychedelic Planets

Level: For anyone with an adventurous spirit

Let your imagination run wild… Create what you imagine! With the mastery of an assortment of embellishment techniques, you can design and create anything!

Each new technique will be clearly demonstrated and possible options discussed, followed by an opportunity to explore on your own, with input from an experienced fibre artist.

Emphasis will be on an imaginative approach to the creation of innovative works.

NOTE: Each participant will create their own sampler using the introduced techniques. Finished works will reflect the individual’s experience.

Imagine & Create - A Touch of Asian

Two Days: 12 hours

Level: For anyone with an adventurous spirit

Two of Hilary’s favourite materials to work with are connected in this workshop – silk and metal. Instruction will be given in making formed silk paper, together with the entire how-to’s involved when working with metal as an appliqué accent. Each student’s learning pieces will be assembled into a final art piece, applying already honed embellishing skills, coupled with a few new ones offered, for unification. This workshop will allow the artistically timid a chance to move from practiced techniques into using new ones.

NOTE: Each participant will create their own sampler using the introduced techniques. Finished works will reflect the individual’s experience.

Level: For anyone with an adventurous spirit

Glitzy Bitz will be a fun filled exploratory experience for all who enjoy playing with exotic fabrics, beads, threads and more – we’ll use everything shiny and sparkly!

With a wide choice of materials based on a luscious colour scheme, the building of an original piece of contemporary fibre art and a sprinkling of new techniques combined with a carefree and playful attitude, participants will have the time of their lives! Look forward to this, ‘cause you’ll never look back!!

The resulting piece will be your stepping-stone into a whole new way of looking at working with fibre.
